Good Use this at work for traffic reconstruction. There are better calculators out there where you can chain the entire equation, but this works fine.
Great Features for an 8th grade calculator I like that when this calculator reduces fractions it puts them in the same form that they were inputted.

No return policy This is the first time item I bought on Prime that does not allow for returns. I was so surprised I went back and looked at the descripton. It says "Return Policy: Return and Refund available". However, if you click on those words, a message "no return available" comes up. The calculator itself is pretty useful. They had been using a graphing calculator, but never used the graphing functions and found it a little over-complicated. I've had it for two years and it has not needed to be changed. The back doesn't have a any section that can be removed to replace a battery so If you want the battery version, get the TIX. The battery is solely for memory storage while the calculator is off I purchased one for my great-grandson who had to have that particular model for use at his high school this year.
He has not said he needed a different one for school now. I purchased this for a homeschooling and this was the one her teachers requested. They gave a special instruction class with it. My mom is studying for the test now and I bought her this calculator so it's easier for her.
I am a proctor so it's in there for the testers to use during the test. Id have to try that. However, it doesn't matter because you just turn it back on and your previous work is still there in memory, whether you want the saved values from variables or to scroll up the display to retrieve a previous calculation, it's all there.
Perhaps you could. Although you won't be able to take it with you into the GED testing room because on the actual test it will appear as an on-screen version but it will still have the same functions as that of the actual calculator. Which means you will still be able to work out the answers on the GED in the same way as you would if you had the calculator in front of you.
I throw mine in my back pack all of the time. Yes, it does come with a hard plastic cover that easily snaps onto the front to protect the keys when not in use, or it can be snapped onto the back during use. The cover also has 4 little rubber nubs or "feet" to help prevent scratches to the cover which is nice. Not even the TI plus am currently using.
