Who is eligible to join nsslha
Every summer the organization sponsors The Cooper Lecture Series in Communicative Disorders, which is a one day continuing education event open to the university and professional community as well as students. During the semester, various workshops are held covering topics of interest to students preparing to enter the profession of speech-language pathology. The activities sponsored by the organization help students mature professionally. The success of the organization is directly related to the commitment of the membership.
All students are strongly encouraged to join. Sertoma stands for Service to Mankind. For more information about membership, please check out our benefits tab. Membership opportunities are available for students in the speech-language pathology and audiology major at the local, state, and national level. Membership in each of these associations provides access to many different valuable resources.
Students can join at any time, but are encouraged to join at the beginning of the academic year or semester to get the maximum benefits of membership in the local organization. Membership at the state level NSLHA is highly encouraged, but not required for membership in the local chapter.
